LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles, a city as vast as Umbria, a medium Italian region, with many highways within it and hours-long journeys to reach its famous locations, no public transport, so you absolutely need a car, it is celebrated by cinema such as Hollywood with the famous writing on the hill, its Boulevard with movie stars, Beverly Hills with the rich villas of the most famous actors, the Chinese Theater in whose courtyard there are the handprints of the great stars including our Sophia Loren. Then Santa Monica with its enormous pier which hosts an amusement park and restaurants, Venice beach which is worth a visit especially on weekends given that street artists and exhibitionists come here to perform, without forgetting the open-air gym where it was practically born fitness, the canals of the billionaire who thought of building a new Venice, further up the beach and the exclusive villas of Malibu along the Pacific coast. We went to visit Disneyland park where we had a lot of fun like children and Universal Studios where we saw replicas of famous cinema scenes such as the shark or the earthquake, then in Long Beach we visited the Queen Mary ship transformed into a hotel and the Colossus the highest roller coaster where I risked a heart attack

I visited the capital of China back in 1983 on a five-week group trip through much of the country and we stayed about two weeks in BEIJING when the group returned to Italy while my girlfriend and I decided to stay longer because we liked the city a lot but on the given day we had seen very little. You have to think that in 1983 China was a poor and underdeveloped country and the Chinese all dressed the same way with blue or green tunics, both men and women, only the children were dressed in Western style, the small boys with dicks and bare bottoms so they didn't make a mess. There were very few cars and millions of all black bicycles. There were few skyscrapers, mostly the houses were low and blackened by the coal used for cooking, The Chinese were wary of us, it seems they feared being stung for accusing us of bothering us and in any case none of them spoke English, not even in the hotels and restaurants so it was difficult to communicate. Last thoughts on my recent trip to northern France

I took about 1,200 photos and will post the best ones as soon as I can. The smallest cities are the most beautiful and all have beautiful historic centers. The castles, despite their different architecture, are similar inside and out. They have beautiful solid wood and inlaid furniture, canopy beds, separate bedrooms for the couple, numerous fireplaces, and enormous colorful tapestries that warmed the cold rooms. I've never seen a bathroom; it's said that Louis XIV bathed twice in his entire life. They used lace to cleanse their mouths, and when they smelled too bad, they anointed themselves with perfume; that's why they became masters in this field. Unfortunately, I no longer see the beautiful, elegant women I remember from my first distant travels. Even though they wear skirts more than Italians, they mostly wear baggy, shapeless jeans.
