Milan, the world capital for fashion

I visited it for the first time in 1975 during a banking course in the Lesmo villa, once owned by Unicreditbanca, now owned by Silvio Berlusconi the famous Italian leader, it was love at first sight, I decided that sooner or later I would come and live there and it happened 18 years later in 1993 , for family reunification since I had a daughter from a Lombard I met on a 1986 trip to Turkey. I like almost everything about Milan except the smog and the haste of the Milanese, how can you not be enchanted by Piazza del Duomo, the Galleria, the Scala, the Last Supper and the Castello Sforzesco with the adjoining Sempione park, the Pinacoteca Brera second only at the Uffizi Gallery, the fashion district, the Arco della Arch of Peace and Parco Sempione, the Navigli and Brera headquarters which together with Corso Como constitute the evening meeting place for young Milanese who meet for aperitifs, San Siro Stadium and the Forum of Assago for sporting meetings of Mila AC and Inter,Milan, basketball and volleyball in Milan and many concerts, not to mention the many churches and parks. Furthermore, Milan is clean, with fairly flowing traffic and the Milanese are civil and educated as well as constituting the engine of Italy, since it produces a good portion of the Italian GDP and is innovative, never in crisis, always in turmoil and ready to invent something again to make money and get the world's attention. A curiosity: Milano was capital of the Roman Empire for one century and if you dig down you can find all the things that you can see in Rome and today is the world capital for fashion together with Paris,France. It is also very important for design and its "fiera del mobile" (furniture fair) attract thousands of visitors every year as the fashion and many more events. It Hosted the Universal Expo some years ago with great success and it will host the next Olimpia winter games in 2026 together with Cortina, the pearl of the Dolomites mountains. From Milan you can reach in one hour train Como and its lake and Turin another important and beautiful Italian city an Milan is located in the middle of Padana valley between Turin and Venice, what better? One hour away by train or motorway from Switzerland and is very well connected by air with three international airports and motorways going everywhere for your fashion, art, business, design, sport, concert vacation, can you ask more?
