KNOW TRAVELERS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES

I traveled alone from 2002 to 2015 for three years in Cuba, and then in South East Asia in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, India, including two trips of six months each, transiting almost always through Bangkok and visited almost all Eastern European countries from Helsinki,Finland to Thessaloniki,Greec in five memorable trips between 2009 and 2014. Before 2000 starting in 1967 I had traveled in groups or in pairs , getting to know the Italian members of the group and once only with a friend from Trieste. The difference is that traveling alone you get a full immersion in the country, but in reality more than getting to know the locals, you make friends with other foreign travelers traveling alone or as a couple. I met in means of transport, especially buses and trains, ferries, during excursions, in cafes and restaurants and in tourist villages where I stayed or in hotels. I met many Europeans (I prefer the Spanish and the French, but also the Russians) then the Americans and Australians who are always friendly sociable and great drinkers.)

I visited the capital of China back in 1983 on a five-week group trip through much of the country and we stayed about two weeks in BEIJING when the group returned to Italy while my girlfriend and I decided to stay longer because we liked the city a lot but on the given day we had seen very little. You have to think that in 1983 China was a poor and underdeveloped country and the Chinese all dressed the same way with blue or green tunics, both men and women, only the children were dressed in Western style, the small boys with dicks and bare bottoms so they didn't make a mess. There were very few cars and millions of all black bicycles. There were few skyscrapers, mostly the houses were low and blackened by the coal used for cooking, The Chinese were wary of us, it seems they feared being stung for accusing us of bothering us and in any case none of them spoke English, not even in the hotels and restaurants so it was difficult to communicate. Last thoughts on my recent trip to northern France

I took about 1,200 photos and will post the best ones as soon as I can. The smallest cities are the most beautiful and all have beautiful historic centers. The castles, despite their different architecture, are similar inside and out. They have beautiful solid wood and inlaid furniture, canopy beds, separate bedrooms for the couple, numerous fireplaces, and enormous colorful tapestries that warmed the cold rooms. I've never seen a bathroom; it's said that Louis XIV bathed twice in his entire life. They used lace to cleanse their mouths, and when they smelled too bad, they anointed themselves with perfume; that's why they became masters in this field. Unfortunately, I no longer see the beautiful, elegant women I remember from my first distant travels. Even though they wear skirts more than Italians, they mostly wear baggy, shapeless jeans.
