SPICY FOOD

Until a few years ago I refused any spicy food, even pepper and chilli. Once I gasped at the top of the Eiffel tower eating a sandwich at the café which I sprinkled with a white cream that was on the counter. I think it was horseradish, deadly! Another time in San Antonio, Texas while having lunch in a restaurant I saw a diner who had asked for a small jar with lots of colorful vegetables, I wanted to try it too and risked running out of breathing. Every time I ordered lunch in Thailand and India, above all, I prayed to the waiter: please no spicy food, please don't bring me spicy food and he promised to obey me, then pure fire arrived! So I understood that if I wanted to survive I had to get used to spicy and I succeeded, to the point that today I like it even if my eyes burn, my throat is on fire and my nose runs, not always, but almost. There's a Thai red soup that's super hot and knocks me out every time but I keep ordering it because I really like it. Once I met a German in Bangkok with whom I went to dinner and he ordered the hottest dish they had and when he ate it he said it wasn't as spicy as he would have liked. The locals love the spicy which also protects them from viruses, bacteria and various infections however my favorite cuisine is Thai of which I am attaching various photos, PAD THAI is my favourite, rice noodles with meat or fish and various vegetables
